Responsibilities
- Lead application testing and quality assurance activities across projects.
- Provide oversight, develop testing solutions, establish metrics, and improve test processes.
- Define testing approaches, estimate test efforts, manage testing activities, and provide progress reports.
- Review requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute test scripts using test-to-pass, test-to-fail, and automation techniques.
- Analyze test results, database impacts, errors, bugs, and usability issues.
- Prepare software-testing reports and communicate findings to design teams and stakeholders.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
- Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
- Recommend test automation and testing-practice improvements as required by projects.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior software engineers while encouraging continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of quality assurance experience with a strong software development background.
- Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language, such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Knowledge of at least one database management system.
- Proficiency with testing practices and documentation.
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium and HPE.
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into test scenarios.
- Knowledge of Agile practices and processes.
- ISTQB, CQA, CSTE, or other relevant certifications may be preferred.
