Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and operate features for the Interests experience across web and mobile surfaces.
- Deliver end-to-end software solutions focused on maintainability, performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with Product and Science teams to define experiences, run experiments, and iterate using data.
- Build AI-powered experiences including personalized updates, relevance explanations, and contextual recommendations.
- Implement analytics events and experiment configurations to measure engagement and retention.
- Contribute to architecture and design, mentor junior developers, promote software development best practices, and support operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or equivalent, server-side rendered web experience, performance-oriented UI rendering, experimentation, analytics instrumentation, metrics-driven iteration, AI/ML integration, generative AI applications, monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
