Performance Engineer

Responsibilities
- Establish theoretical and measured roofline models for performance metrics.
- Build and maintain baseline performance benchmarks using industry-standard tools.
- Run end-to-end inference model workloads to capture real-world performance.
- Evaluate fabric performance as cluster size scales and identify bottlenecks.
- Design and maintain automated lab infrastructure for performance testing.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to communicate findings and influence design decisions.
- Provide performance data and support for customer engagements and industry events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience running AI/ML workloads on GPU clusters.
- Ability to debug and root-cause system-level performance issues.
- Strong knowledge of compute algorithms and AI/ML workloads.
- Working knowledge of computer systems, GPU systems, and datacenter networking.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation, particularly in Python.
