Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Rust smart contracts for Stellar using Soroban and for Solana.
- Own smart contract modules from design through deployment and ongoing lifecycle management.
- Lead code reviews and contribute to security assessments and audit readiness.
- Design testing strategies, deployment pipelines, and reusable contract libraries.
- Integrate smart contracts with platform, backend, frontend, and web application services.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate smart contract security, reliability, and performance risks.
- Mentor Associate engineers and promote Rust and smart contract development best practices.
- Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis for smart contract issues.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders on technical requirements and system architecture.
- Monitor cryptographic and blockchain advancements and share expertise with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Rust development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience developing smart contracts or blockchain-based applications.
- Production experience developing Rust smart contracts.
- Strong understanding of blockchain security, distributed systems, and cryptographic principles.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and secure software-delivery practices.
- Experience with manual and automated testing, automated test frameworks, and enterprise test suites.
- Experience testing REST APIs, web applications, microservices, distributed systems, blockchain platforms, smart contracts, and on-chain/off-chain transaction workflows.
- Knowledge of defect tracking, test management, reporting tools, performance testing, security testing, and resiliency testing.
- Experience with permissioned blockchain networks or AppChains; Hyperledger Besu or comparable enterprise blockchain experience is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or comparable automation technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
