Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve scalable microservices and product features.
- Own the quality, resilience, availability, and maintainability of team services throughout their lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product designers, product owners, and frontend, backend, and mobile engineers to deliver product innovations.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and advocate for development best practices.
- Fix bugs and refactor the codebase to improve product reliability and maintainability.
- Experiment with new technologies and participate in Technical Week for innovation and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience, specifically with object-oriented programming.
- At least 3 years of experience working with customer-facing products, such as e-commerce, fintech, or SaaS products.
- Experience designing, implementing, and deploying backend services focused on high availability, low latency, and consistency.
- Good understanding of API design, SQL, and relational databases.
- Strong English communication, collaboration, initiative, problem-solving, and continuous-learning skills.
- Ruby experience is not essential, provided the candidate is passionate about learning new technologies.
