Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend features for the global platform across cart, checkout, and post-order experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional international teams to manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Contribute to system architecture evolution for current needs, future growth, and new technologies.
- Enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and implement automated testing frameworks.
- Apply cloud environment, CI/CD, testing, and validation practices independently.
- Apply design patterns and reliability practices including resiliency, autoscaling, monitoring, and alerting.
- Identify and resolve complex software and infrastructure issues while optimizing performance and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of backend development experience.
- Practical experience with software architecture, design patterns, design principles, algorithms, and automated unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and patterns is preferred.
- Solid understanding of relational and distributed databases, including normal forms, ACID, isolation levels, index concepts, and distributed database concepts.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and cross-functional international teams.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
