Full Stack Java / Typescript / AWS Lead Software Engineer
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java backend services, TypeScript applications, APIs, and agentic workflows.
- Build microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud for service discovery, configuration, and resilience.
- Containerize and deploy applications on AWS using ECS, EKS, Lambda, and EC2.
- Implement and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Apply reactive programming and 12-factor cloud-native development principles.
- Lead responsible adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering and automation tools, including validation of generated outputs.
- Coach engineers on secure, compliant, and effective AI-assisted development practices.
- Design and execute performance and load tests using JMeter or Blazemeter.
- Use and improve the software development lifecycle toolchain, observability practices, and automation.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Professional experience with Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience implementing microservices architecture and reactive programming paradigms.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, Lambda, S3, and Kafka.
- Experience leading or coaching teams in the safe and effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience applying 12-factor app principles and cloud-native development practices.
- Experience designing and executing performance and load tests with JMeter or Blazemeter.
- Experience with Jules, Spinnaker, Splunk, Dynatrace, Cassandra, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and ElastiCache.
- Preferred experience with Agent2UI, the A2A protocol, multi-agent troubleshooting, debugging, and LLMs.
