Responsibilities
- Deliver reliable, high-quality software for the cloud video management system.
- Build and contribute to backend services for large, cloud-based distributed systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and international colleagues on feature refinement and innovative solutions.
- Participate in peer reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach other engineers on the team.
Requirements
- Significant industry experience as a Software Engineer.
- Strong skills in at least one general-purpose programming language, including Go, Python, C, C++, Rust, or Java.
- Experience building backend services for large cloud-based distributed systems; GCP experience is preferred.
- A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification, or a proven industry track record.
- Experience using or adopting AI tools in software development.
- Ability to work in person at the Edinburgh office two days per week.
- Bonus qualifications include service-oriented architecture, cloud-based product development, and experience with machine learning, computer vision, or AI technologies.
