Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and scale Python and pytest automated test libraries on Linux/Ubuntu for multi-channel audio hardware.
- Implement signal-processing algorithms to validate frequency response, channel separation, ducking, mixing, and dynamic gain control.
- Validate IVI media playback, AVAS pitch and frequency modulation, hands-free voice quality, audio routing, and acoustic behavior.
- Execute amplifier and DSP stress tests while monitoring diagnostics, clipping, and fault handling.
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain HIL audio benches, including signal routing, gain staging, and electrical isolation.
- Integrate audio test suites into automated build and regression pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Audio Engineering, Acoustics, or a related field.
- Experience with CAN, CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, Analog, and A2B automotive communication or audio buses.
- Prior experience with Android Automotive OS, QNX, or Automotive Grade Linux IVI systems.
- Familiarity with PESQ, POLQA, 3GPP, and ITU-T speech-quality and loudness specifications.
- Experience with Audio Precision, SoundCheck/Listen Inc., or Rohde & Schwarz audio test instruments.
- Familiarity with AVAS acoustic safety regulations including UN ECE R138 and FMVSS 141.
- Preferred: 3+ years of professional experience building Python and pytest test automation frameworks.
- Preferred: practical DSP experience using numpy, scipy, sounddevice, and PyAudio.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with multi-channel audio interfaces, line-output converters, microphone and speaker calibration, and gain staging.
- Preferred: familiarity with FFT spectral analysis, THD/THD+N, dynamic range, SNR, crosstalk/isolation, RMS, loudness, and audio ducking ratios.
- Preferred: strong Linux/Ubuntu experience with ALSA, PulseAudio, and PipeWire audio routing and configuration.
