Base Salary
$105k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with business and engineering teams to define testing capabilities and translate testing needs into tools, frameworks, and libraries.
- Develop and extend test framework plugins, extensions, fixtures, and related capabilities.
- Prototype new test vectors, approaches, tools, and methods.
- Build libraries and tools such as Excel add-ons, data sanitation services, and command-line interfaces.
- Improve testing accessibility, test runtimes, reporting, and analytics for engineers across GEICO.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance while staying current with testing technologies and continuous delivery practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software testing and performance/load testing.
- Deep familiarity with test framework internals or advanced topics in Pytest, Playwright, and TestNG.
- Proficiency in at least one of Go, Node, Java, or Python.
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing large-scale K6 performance test rigs is highly desirable.
