Responsibilities
- Develop applications that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into software designs and implementations.
- Design scalable, performant, reusable, and extensible application components and frameworks.
- Create unit tests and participate in functional testing, code reviews, and quality improvement efforts.
- Develop web-based user interfaces and REST API integrations.
- Tune application performance and help deploy applications in efficient hosting environments.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with business analysts, architects, infrastructure teams, subject matter experts, and end users.
- Research technical solutions consistent with DTCC technology standards.
- Create and maintain system documentation and technical designs.
- Use appropriate software development methodologies and participate in Agile ceremonies.
- Contribute to continuous integration, continuous delivery, and improvements to team practices.
- Apply risk and control processes to daily responsibilities and escalate issues appropriately.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience accepted.
- Extensive experience with Java Core and Java EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, JMS, and Tomcat.
- Experience with NodeJS, NPM, web-based UI development, Servlet/JSP, Angular, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and related UI frameworks such as jQuery and React.
- Experience with XML/XSD, JSON, REST, SOAP, microservices, distributed systems, and layered SOA/MVC architectures.
- Strong Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, database, and performance-tuning skills.
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Sonar, Jira, and CI/CD processes.
- Experience deploying scalable applications using Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and cloud environments; AWS experience is a plus.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, Selenium, and Cucumber.
- Experience with integration patterns and messaging technologies including MQ, Solace, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodology and hands-on application development experience.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, adaptability, and continuous-improvement skills, with the ability to lead others.
