Base Salary
$79k - $132k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable self-service tools and automated workflows for ingesting, creating, sharing, and using data.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and software engineers to develop scalable and user-friendly data platform solutions.
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems to maintain platform reliability and resolve issues proactively.
- Improve platform infrastructure for robustness, scalability, adaptability, and ease of adoption.
- Research and integrate tools and technologies to improve platform performance and support innovation.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides for platform tools and workflows.
Requirements
- Require 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, software development, or a related field.
- Demonstrate platform thinking and the ability to design scalable, reusable, self-service tools that reduce complexity.
- Have strong proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python, and write clean, documented code.
- Have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with GCP preferred.
- Understand software engineering principles including version control, modularization, API development, and front-end/back-end integrations.
- Have experience using Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Have exposure to automated build tools such as Jenkins and CI/CD principles.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Airflow, Argo, Flyte, Kubeflow, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Pub/Sub, and machine learning workflows.
