Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django.
- Develop frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain APIs and integrations with third-party platforms and services.
- Optimize platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Contribute to cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Design and scale multi-tenant SaaS solutions.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technical strategy.
- Drive automated testing strategies, CI/CD implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Champion engineering best practices, code quality, clean architecture, and code reviews.
- Mentor and coach developers while balancing hands-on development with technical leadership.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Operations, stakeholders, and experienced engineering teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Strong commercial experience with Python and Django.
- Strong commercial experience with React and TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of modern JavaScript development practices.
- Experience building and scaling SaaS products.
- Extensive API development and integration experience.
- Strong PostgreSQL and relational database experience.
- Experience with ORM frameworks and cloud platforms such as GCP and/or AWS.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of test-driven development, automated testing frameworks, continuous integration and deployment, Agile software development, clean architecture, and code reviews.
- Previous experience mentoring or leading developers.
- Ability to combine hands-on development with technical leadership and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms, Shopify integrations, e-commerce platforms, marketplace products, or startup and scale-up environments is advantageous.
- Experience with Firebase, Google Analytics, or high-growth product businesses is advantageous.
