Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and support complex enterprise software solutions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and system architectures.
- Write clean, maintainable, and secure code and produce technical specifications, UML diagrams, and system documentation.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and system defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements.
- Support and enhance applications, integrations, and databases, including participation in after-hours support, deployments, and releases when required.
- Design, develop, and support REST API and SOAP service integrations.
- Perform and oversee unit, integration, performance, and automated testing.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, release management, deployment processes, source control, code reviews, and development governance.
- Act as technical lead on complex initiatives and mentor Software Engineers I and II.
- Drive engineering best practices and contribute to communities of practice and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Agile Foundation Training and security training including OWASP Top 10.
- Relevant software development, design, or technical certifications.
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Experience delivering complex enterprise applications and supporting production systems and critical incidents.
- Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments, with enterprise integrations and release management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, technical leadership, mentoring, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Web API, Entity Framework, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, AWS Cloud Services, Azure DevOps, Git, Visual Studio, Postman, SoapUI, PowerShell, and batch scripting.
- Retail industry exposure, NoSQL, microservices architecture, AI/Microsoft Copilot Studio, Jira, Control-M, and BigFix are advantageous.
