Responsibilities

  • Develop and operate high-scale real-time media platform features across hybrid cloud and bare-metal environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex media escalations involving packet loss, jitter, latency, audio/video degradation, and SIP/WebRTC failures.
  • Design resilient software for AI-assisted observability, automated incident response, and self-healing infrastructure.
  • Build production AI agents, MCP integrations, deterministic evaluation pipelines, anomaly detection, and human-in-the-loop remediation workflows.
  • Implement telemetry ingestion and correlation across logs, metrics, traces, change events, and runbooks to improve MTTD and MTTR.
  • Define SLIs and SLOs, manage error budgets, lead post-incident reviews, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers.
  • Coordinate priorities and delivery across application, infrastructure, development, and operations teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of related experience, master’s degree plus 6 years, or PhD plus 3 years in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Track record as a Senior or Lead SRE or Software Engineer delivering distributed, highly available SaaS or media platforms at scale.
  • Experience with real-time media streaming and protocols including RTP/RTCP, SRTP, WebRTC, SIP, SDP, RTSP, or HLS/DASH.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Go, C++, or Java, with experience designing microservices, APIs, and production automation.
  • Deep experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration in large-scale multi-cluster environments.
  • Experience with SLI/SLO design, observability, incident management, and automated root cause analysis.
  • Preferred experience includes AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, performance-sensitive systems, LLM pipelines, AI agents, MCP, RAG, evaluation frameworks, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ThousandEyes, Terraform, GitOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and vector databases.
