Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate highly scalable distributed services for AI-driven communications and collaboration experiences.
- Develop platforms that extract insights and semantic understanding from voice, video, screen sharing, and meeting interactions.
- Drive system architecture, technical design, scalability, reliability, security, performance, observability, automation, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, designers, and partner engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Use AI technologies, agentic workflows, and cloud services to create intelligent enterprise experiences.
- Improve service health through observability, automation, incident response, and production operations.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to design and code reviews.
- Own delivery from design and implementation through production operations and customer impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems, cloud services, or enterprise platforms is preferred.
- Experience designing reliable, highly available, and observable production services is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, LLMs, agentic systems, NLP, speech technologies, or real-time communications platforms is preferred.
- Experience with prompt engineering, evaluation strategies, model hosting best practices, and media services is preferred.
- Master's degree with 6+ years of experience or bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience is listed as preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, technical influence, innovation, and global-scale engineering abilities are preferred.
