Responsibilities
- Design and develop new UI features and components for the Open Blue AI Platform.
- Maintain and steward the platform, troubleshoot reported issues, and provide code fixes for problems and change requests.
- Develop software according to functional and technical design specifications.
- Participate in design, code, and architecture reviews and propose technical solutions and alternatives.
- Write and execute unit, integration, and browser-based tests.
- Develop proof-of-concept prototypes and provide work estimates.
- Collaborate with globally distributed engineering, testing, and support teams.
- Act as an individual contributor and step into a hands-on technical lead role when required.
Requirements
- B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Computer Science.
- 6–8 years of web application development experience using HTML, CSS/Sass, and JavaScript ES2022+.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript core concepts and design patterns.
- Experience with a component-based SPA framework at scale; Ember.js is strongly preferred, with equivalent depth in React or Angular accepted.
- Experience integrating JavaScript SPAs with server-rendered backends.
- Experience with ember-cli, Broccoli, Webpack, Babel, Sass, Node.js, and pnpm.
- Experience with unit, integration, and browser-based testing using tools such as QUnit, qunit-dom, @ember/test-helpers, Testem, or headless Chrome; Jest, Karma, and Jasmine are also considered.
- Experience building data-dense operational UIs.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis, including RedisTimeSeries; MongoDB or other document stores are a plus.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, JIRA, and Scrum methodology.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to understand and express complex technical concepts.
- Preferred experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails in production.
- Preferred knowledge of networking and security fundamentals, client-side internationalization, shared internal component libraries, JavaScript dependency and CVE remediation, and UX design patterns.
