Responsibilities
- Support Account Executives in new and existing partner relationships and direct business opportunities to grow revenue.
- Provide value-based solutions for customer and systems integrator challenges, including scalable and highly available application architectures.
- Work with customer business, development, and solutions architect teams on Enterprise Suite product sales and solutions.
- Conduct proof-of-concept technology analyses, pilots, customer presentations, and internal training.
- Enable partners across the Rocket Enterprise Portfolio and its mainframe modernization approach, sales, and methodology.
- Guide customer engagements and migrations from mainframe environments to the Rocket Enterprise Server platform.
- Analyze mainframe environments and applications to develop modernization plans aligned with customer business outcomes.
- Design and architect distributed and cloud target environments, including highly available and fault-tolerant systems.
- Support COBOL modernization, code conversion, re-platforming, application refactoring, business-rules extraction, and platform migration.
- Configure automation pipelines and support DevOps and Agile tools across the software development lifecycle.
- Self-manage assignments and administrative tasks while managing multiple projects from start to finish.
- Travel to customers worldwide as needed.
Requirements
- Technical degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 8 years of relevant sales experience leading customers through mainframe and legacy modernization initiatives.
- Experience leading customer migrations from mainframe environments to the Rocket Enterprise Server platform.
- Knowledge of major cloud provider infrastructure and technologies, including AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience analyzing on-premises mainframe applications and processes to formulate modernization plans.
- Technical experience with infrastructure modernization, hardware or middleware emulation, automated code conversion, re-platforming, COBOL modernization, and cross-platform application porting.
- Hands-on experience with mainframe and non-x86 legacy systems and technologies including COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 for z/OS, IMS DB/DC, Assembler, PL/I, REXX, flat or sequential files, GDGs, and VSAM.
- Experience architecting distributed and cloud environments, including OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containers.
- Strong application modernization, architecture, design, analysis, application refactoring, and business-rules extraction experience.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, containers, microservices, serverless technology, web services, APIs, load balancing, and horizontal or vertical scaling.
- Experience configuring automation pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, DevOps, and test data management.
- Fluent written and verbal English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
- Analytical mindset and ability to analyze test results and facilitate defect resolution.
- Ability and interest in international customer travel.
