- Own the end-to-end architecture of a governed, zero-copy cross-cloud data platform.
- Produce decision records, reference architectures, solution diagrams, design standards, and build-versus-integrate recommendations.
- Define catalog and metadata integration patterns across cloud and lakehouse environments.
- Design agent- and MCP-based access patterns for governed data products and enterprise AI tools.
- Set future-state direction for data products, cross-source data composition, and agentic data consumption.
- Align the platform with enterprise engineering practices and guide engineering teams toward implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of technology experience, including significant solution, enterprise, or data architecture experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing cross-cloud and multi-cloud data architectures.
- Experience applying zero-copy, data-mesh, data-product, and domain-driven design principles.
- Deep expertise in data governance, access control, policy classification, and geolocation-based access requirements.
- Experience defining data-contract standards and embedding governance metadata into platform workflows.
- Strong identity and access management experience for users, machines, and agents.
- Consulting or client-facing delivery experience across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Preferred familiarity with semantic layers, ontologies, knowledge graphs, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, cross-cloud cost management, and FinOps.
- Preferred experience in regulated life-sciences or comparable compliance-driven environments, including GxP, GDPR/HIPAA, and PII/PHI handling.
