Responsibilities
- Lead the design, governance, and operation of scalable, resilient Kubernetes platforms across AWS and AWS GovCloud.
- Define deployment blueprints, high-availability architectures, disaster-recovery strategies, and authorized-boundary controls for multi-tenant and dedicated enterprise environments.
- Implement DevSecOps, zero-trust access, IAM governance, encryption, supply-chain security, policy enforcement, compliance validation, vulnerability remediation, and incident-response exercises.
- Develop AIOps, observability, automation, analytics, and AI/ML workload infrastructure to improve alerting, anomaly detection, MTTR, and operational efficiency.
- Drive Terraform, Helm, GitOps, CI/CD, progressive delivery, drift detection, and reproducible infrastructure practices.
- Define reliability benchmarks and SLO/SLI frameworks, optimize autoscaling and distributed-system performance, and conduct disaster-recovery testing.
- Implement cloud cost observability, allocation, optimization, and governance across multi-cloud environments.
- Mentor engineers, lead architecture reviews and production-readiness assessments, and align platform strategy with Security and Engineering.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering in enterprise or high-scale SaaS environments.
- Production architecture and operations experience with AWS and AWS GovCloud; GCP or OCI experience is a plus.
- Experience maintaining FedRAMP Moderate or High production environments, including monitoring, vulnerability remediation, incident response, configuration management, and audit evidence.
- Experience owning infrastructure changes within authorized boundaries, including system inventory, data-flow implications, inherited controls, and third-party services.
- Strong experience designing AWS Landing Zone architectures with multi-account governance and guardrails.
- Advanced Terraform experience building reusable, secure infrastructure modules and standardized environments.
- Deep expertise in AWS and AWS GovCloud networking, Kubernetes platform design, and large-scale cluster operations.
- Strong experience with GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and CI/CD automation using Jenkins and GitLab.
- Production experience with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Redis, and ArangoDB.
- Strong understanding of IAM, encryption at rest and in transit, zero-trust access models, enterprise observability, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, and dedicated workload environments.
- Service mesh and secure east-west traffic management experience is preferred; AIOps exposure is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and be a U.S. citizen.
