Base Salary
$175k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own developer experience from onboarding through deployment, including development environments, build systems, CI/CD, test infrastructure, and deployment tooling.
- Build reliable, fast, and effortless CI frameworks and tooling.
- Create self-service tools that let product and ML engineers work without filing tickets or waiting for infrastructure support.
- Provide clear visibility into what is in production, when it shipped, and how it is performing.
- Maintain build systems, dependency management, test infrastructure, and developer environments.
- Explore thoughtful applications of AI-assisted intelligence in developer tooling.
- Design developer environments for performance-sensitive systems involving GPUs, co-located servers, and real-time requirements.
Requirements
- Build and maintain CI/CD systems, developer tooling, self-service frameworks, CLI tools, build systems, environment setup, or debugging tools.
- Have meaningful experience solving slow builds, flaky tests, painful merges, or similar CI and infrastructure problems with durable solutions.
- Be comfortable programming in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Have 5+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful time in developer infrastructure or tooling.
- Preferred experience includes monorepo tooling and build systems such as Bazel, Pants, Moonrepo, or Nx.
- Preferred experience includes cloud-based development environments such as Coder, Codespaces, or devcontainers.
- Preferred experience includes CI runner management, cost optimization, containerized builds, Docker, Dagger, canary deployments, feature flags, automated rollbacks, dependency scanning, secrets management, supply-chain controls, AI coding tools, or GCP.
- Care about clean software design, automation, and the experience of engineers using internal tools.
