Responsibilities
- Design, train, and deploy machine learning systems for perception and navigation.
- Build and improve learned components and integrate them with classical estimation and planning.
- Translate research into production-quality implementations on robots.
- Develop data engines and evaluation infrastructure for training data and regression tests.
- Own features from prototype to fleet rollout, measuring real-world impact.
- Improve runtime performance on embedded GPU/accelerator hardware.
- Contribute to internal frameworks and simulation tooling.
- Mentor engineers across robotics, ML, and software systems.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant industry or research experience in autonomy, perception, or ML systems.
- Strong fluency in Python and C++ in a Linux environment.
- Demonstrated track record of deploying research ideas into implementations.
- Depth in machine learning, SLAM, motion planning, or 3D perception.
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch and modern training pipelines.
- Experience designing robotic systems with ROS 2 or comparable middleware.
- Familiarity with modern engineering practices like CI/CD and Agile.
