Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features for Android TV and mobile applications.
- Improve and maintain the existing Android codebase.
- Monitor live application performance and optimize code-level performance.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, rectify bugs, and enhance application performance.
- Perform unit and instrumentation testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design features and ensure application quality.
- Write clear technical documentation and stay current with mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Android app development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Android application development, Kotlin, Android SDK, Android NDK, Android design principles, and mobile architecture.
- Experience with Java, Android application publishing on the Google Play Store, RESTful APIs, Git, debugging, performance tools, unit tests, and Espresso tests.
- Knowledge of MVVM, MVC, or MVP design patterns, Android components and use cases, data structures, and interface guidelines.
- Experience with video streaming is an added advantage.
