Responsibilities
- Operate and support FX and fixed-income electronic market-making and order-management systems for internal and external clients.
- Manage market venue and client onboarding for the FX system.
- Provide front-line 24/5.5 production support, incident and problem resolution, service-request management, and application maintenance.
- Perform application deployment, upgrades, configuration, and patching across multiple environments.
- Develop Python tools for quantitative trading analysis, automation, and day-to-day operations.
- Produce and use KDB/Q and SQL queries for troubleshooting and ad hoc stakeholder information requests.
- Monitor alerts, make incident decisions to resume trading, and perform Sunday health checks for the Asian FX market open.
- Communicate status and solutions to clients and manage relationships with third-party vendors.
- Work on a shift rotation covering 07:00–18:30, including some bank holidays, evenings, and weekends as required.
Requirements
- Experience with FX or fixed-income low-latency or electronic trading systems.
- Experience supporting or developing systems for a trading desk, ideally in a tier-one investment bank or hedge fund.
- Strong system engineering, UNIX/Linux, networking, and query-language skills, including KDB/Q and SQL.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, C++, or Python.
- Understanding of production management concepts, including ITIL.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, ideally in quantitative fields such as computer science, mathematics, physics, or finance.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
