Responsibilities
- Define and drive software architecture for telematics and core information software platforms.
- Lead technical design, architecture reviews, engineering best practices, and technical direction across multiple teams.
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance software using C and modern C++.
- Design and implement middleware and communication frameworks using MQTT, ROS2, and gRPC.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
- Drive software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
- Lead performance optimization, root cause analysis, debugging, and profiling of complex embedded systems.
- Champion AI-powered engineering practices and adoption of Agentic AI frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electronics, embedded systems, or a related field.
- 14+ years of software development experience, including significant experience in telematics, connected systems, or embedded software.
- Strong hands-on expertise in C, modern C++ including C++11/14/17/20, Python, and object-oriented programming.
- Deep understanding of software design principles, SOLID principles, design patterns, Embedded Linux, and system architecture.
- Strong knowledge of MQTT, ROS2, gRPC, TCP/IP networking, multithreaded systems, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency with GDB, Valgrind, Perf, Wireshark, debugging, profiling, and performance analysis.
- Preferred experience in telematics, connected vehicles, IoT, edge computing platforms, cloud-connected architectures, Edge AI solutions, AI-assisted development tools, or Agentic AI frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, architectural thinking, and technical execution abilities.
