Responsibilities
- Allocate and track day-to-day team work, provide feedback, and develop two direct reports.
- Build, provision, and maintain Lingo’s production cloud infrastructure on Azure.
- Design and review reusable infrastructure-as-code modules using Terraform or Bicep.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipeline architecture, deployment patterns, promotion gates, and release automation.
- Define SLOs and SLIs, configure alerting and monitoring, and lead post-incident reviews.
- Build and maintain observability tooling for distributed tracing, log pipelines, and metrics collection.
- Partner with product and feature engineering teams to support deployments and onboard them to platform tooling.
- Contribute to platform architecture discussions and document infrastructure, runbooks, and operational processes.
- Drive process, tooling, reliability, and operational improvements across the team’s domain.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of production experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering.
- Strong hands-on Azure experience across compute, networking, storage, identity, and security services.
- Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools, including reusable module design and review.
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of SRE principles, including SLOs, SLIs, alerting, on-call practices, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
- Experience with cloud-native monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing tools.
- Experience implementing identity and access management, network security, and secrets-management controls.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across globally distributed engineering teams.
- Preferred experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, Azure Policy, and Azure Security Center.
- Preferred experience supporting IoT, biosensor, real-time consumer health-data, or low-latency platforms.
- Preferred familiarity with AIOps, AI-driven observability, anomaly detection, automated alerting, MLOps infrastructure, model serving, feature stores, and pipeline orchestration.
- Preferred familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, or PCI compliance frameworks and experience in consumer technology or digital health.
