Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end solution architecture, reference models, integration patterns, technology standards, and architectural decision records for the Client360 platform.
- Define scalable target-state and transition architectures across ingestion, processing, storage, governance, orchestration, serving, APIs, applications, analytics, and archival.
- Establish batch, near-real-time, API, JDBC, file-transfer, Auto Loader, and event-driven ingestion patterns.
- Own AWS and Databricks IAM, cloud security, secrets and key management, encryption, private connectivity, access controls, audit logging, and policy enforcement.
- Define high-availability, disaster-recovery, backup, failover, recovery, and resilience-testing strategies, including RTO/RPO targets.
- Lead capacity planning, scalability engineering, performance testing, workload isolation, autoscaling, quotas, and cloud cost guardrails.
- Architect integrations across Java/Spring Boot, MuleSoft, Redis, ReactJS, NodeJS, Tableau, chatbots, and external endpoints.
- Set CI/CD and infrastructure-automation standards, including reusable modules, policy-as-code, automated testing, security scanning, drift detection, deployment promotion, and rollback.
- Define monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and service-health measures using the platform’s observability tooling.
- Drive data governance, cataloging, lineage, classification, retention, access controls, and segregation-of-duties practices.
- Chair architecture and design reviews, guide proofs of concept and technology evaluations, and manage risks, trade-offs, technical debt, and remediation plans.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, mentor technical leads and engineers, manage the architectural roadmap, and improve automation, reliability, and total cost of ownership.
Requirements
- 20+ years of technology experience, including at least 10 years in architecture or senior technical leadership roles.
- Demonstrated ownership of enterprise-scale cloud data platforms from design through production operation.
- Experience working in regulated or highly controlled environments, preferably financial services.
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams and influencing engineering, product, security, risk, and operations stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to technical and executive audiences.
- Preferred: Databricks Platform Architect certification and/or AWS Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent cloud architecture certification.
- Preferred: TOGAF or another recognized enterprise architecture certification.
- Preferred: experience with infrastructure as code, automated policy enforcement, FinOps, platform engineering, master data management, customer-360 data products, data quality frameworks, and AI/ML operational governance.
