Responsibilities
- Tackle Ashby’s most challenging product design problems and implement the solutions in code.
- Expand and enhance Ashby’s in-house design system with flexible, composable components.
- Consult with engineers on bespoke product work and help improve information hierarchy, scannability, and usability.
- Research customer problems, create wireframes and product specifications, and own projects through end-to-end implementation.
- Build intelligent and powerful software that improves the productivity of talent acquisition teams.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, infrastructure engineers, and other stakeholders while maintaining strong project ownership.
Requirements
- Ability to design and build software, including translating design ideas and wireframes into working product experiences.
- Ability to own projects end-to-end, including researching problems, writing product specifications, creating wireframes, and implementing solutions.
- Strong product thinking, technical design, debugging, abstraction, and learning ability.
- Interest in or comfort with typed languages is helpful, but prior experience with Ashby’s technology stack is not required.
- Ability to collaborate through research, prototyping, written proposals, pair programming, and deliberate communication.
