Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS.
- Build responsive, accessible frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Integrate third-party services, APIs, microservices, and legacy SOAP/XML systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical, product, business, QA, and UX teams.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code and participate in code reviews.
- Optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
- Support CI/CD processes and cloud deployments across AWS and Azure.
- Contribute to Agile sprint planning, estimation, continuous improvement, and delivery activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript and hands-on Node.js and React development.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative software development practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Preferred qualifications include NestJS, Express.js, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and DevOps practices, automated testing, performance optimization, SOAP/XML integrations, legacy systems, travel, retail, or e-commerce platforms, and Spanish language skills.
