Base Salary
$70k - $126k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Python microservices.
- Implement Kafka message consumers and producers.
- Integrate Elasticsearch for real-time and batch data indexing and querying.
- Write unit and integration tests and maintain high code coverage.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and deploy services in Kubernetes clusters.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and architecture planning.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues using observability tools.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable and secure systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and two or more years of relevant experience.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
- Proficiency in Python and backend frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
- Experience with Docker, ETL, Linux, bash or bash-like scripting, RESTful APIs, microservice architecture, and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of design patterns, security practices, and logging and monitoring principles.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative pull-request and code-review workflows.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, especially GitLab or Jenkins.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Preferred qualifications include SDK development, DGX familiarity, Security+ certification, PUA certification eligibility, Elasticsearch or related certifications, enterprise-scale systems experience, distributed systems concepts, schema registries, Kafka streaming patterns, AWS/C2S, and LLM or agentic AI application development.
