Base Salary
$209k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering teams to build fast, reliable, and broadly adopted developer paved paths.
- Identify and automate repetitive work and sources of developer friction.
- Develop libraries, tools, and pre-production environments for service API and microservice testing.
- Integrate internal tooling and vendor services to automate workflows, improve operational efficiency, and optimize security.
- Innovate across source code management, build systems, code review, CI/CD pipelines, platform runtimes, and telemetry.
- Lead efforts to establish a culture of continuous quality delivery as engineering scale increases.
- Shape technical direction, communicate strategic vision, and define the future state of Crusoe’s software development practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience leading development of developer tools or infrastructure for engineering teams.
- Expertise evaluating technical tradeoffs and understanding how infrastructure decisions affect developer productivity.
- Fluent knowledge of AI tooling, build tooling, containerization, and open-source development frameworks.
- Professional experience managing or developing within Kubernetes clusters and deep understanding of container orchestration.
- Proven experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Release Engineering, or a similar productivity-focused discipline.
- Deep understanding of automated testing infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Expertise in modern programming languages, specifically Go, and advanced proficiency with Git-based workflows such as GitLab or GitHub.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related analytical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred: experience with strategic technical planning, AI agent platforms for engineering teams, Linux image construction, package building, open-source communities, and automating complex technical solutions.
