Responsibilities
- Design and build document-generation solutions and data-driven templates using xPresso for Adobe InDesign.
- Develop and configure xPression and OpenText xPression components, rules, workflows, and templates for print and digital correspondence.
- Integrate document-generation solutions with policy administration and output-management platforms.
- Create technical specifications, configuration guides, deployment documentation, and maintain knowledge-sharing materials.
- Conduct unit, system, and regression testing to validate layouts, data accuracy, and business logic.
- Analyze defects and performance issues, optimize configurations and templates, and improve processing throughput.
- Provide production support by monitoring batch jobs, resolving incidents, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure generated communications meet regulatory, privacy, accessibility, brand, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product teams, and other stakeholders to translate insurance requirements into technical designs.
- Evaluate platform features and recommend improvements to productivity and communication reliability.
Requirements
- Four to six years of experience in software development or document composition.
- At least four years of OpenText xPression experience.
- At least three years of XML, XSD, and XPath experience.
- At least two years of document migration experience.
- At least two years of xPresso for Adobe InDesign and xAdmin experience.
- Hands-on experience with xPression configuration, scripting, administration, environment configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of life and annuities insurance concepts, including policy issuance, renewals, benefits, and claims.
- Experience designing data-driven templates with variable content and complex layouts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, testing, and collaboration skills.
