Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain scalable services, data pipelines, and developer infrastructure for code intelligence, validation, and AI-assisted engineering.
- Own the design and delivery of significant features or system components and make engineering tradeoffs across reliability, performance, security, maintainability, and delivery.
- Collaborate with scientists, product managers, engineers, and partner teams to integrate code intelligence and validation into developer tools, repositories, build systems, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Contribute to technical designs and architecture discussions while identifying dependencies, risks, and implementation decisions.
- Improve service quality and operational health through monitoring, telemetry, debugging, root-cause analysis, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
- Share technical knowledge, participate in design and code reviews, and mentor other engineers through hands-on collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Experience designing, building, testing, and supporting production software or software-based services.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud services, developer platforms, data-intensive systems, or software engineering infrastructure.
- Experience contributing to technical designs and delivering software features or components through the complete development lifecycle.
- Experience with AI-assisted software development, large language models, agentic systems, retrieval systems, or code-generation technologies is preferred.
- Experience with static analysis, code indexing, semantic search, source-control platforms, CI/CD systems, or software validation is preferred.
- Experience building or operating reliable data pipelines, developer tools, or engineering productivity systems is preferred.
- Experience using telemetry, testing, evaluation methods, or operational metrics to improve software quality and system reliability is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in highly ambiguous scenarios is preferred.
