Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the peer-to-peer stack.
- Expand the ecosystem of more than 1,500 public npm modules.
- Build modular, maintainable Node.js software for production-scale applications.
- Create and manage reusable npm modules.
- Test and debug software.
- Optimize network protocols and systems for latency and throughput.
- Collaborate effectively in a remote, globally distributed team.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing Node.js applications at production scale.
- Strong ability to write modular, maintainable code.
- Experience creating and managing reusable npm modules.
- Solid testing and debugging skills.
- Deep interest or experience with peer-to-peer technologies or distributed systems.
- Good communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Experience with native Node.js extensions using C or C++, or binding JavaScript to lower-level code, is preferred.
- Experience optimizing network protocols or systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with advanced networking concepts is preferred.
- Contributions to open-source projects, particularly in peer-to-peer or decentralized technology, are preferred.
