Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve scalable cloud-native software architectures on AWS.
- Own features end-to-end from design and architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Contribute to API design supporting web and mobile user experiences.
- Review code and provide feedback to maintain high-quality, maintainable implementations.
- Analyze applications and data stores to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver marketplace solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong expertise in Python and JavaScript and familiarity with their ecosystems and frameworks.
- At least 2 years of hands-on AWS experience, including Lambda, Cognito, EKS, OpenSearch, Kinesis, S3, SNS, and SQS.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration.
- Recent experience building consumer-facing applications with React.
- Strong background in serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
- Hands-on experience designing and consuming REST and GraphQL web services.
- Familiarity with messaging and streaming platforms such as Kinesis, SQS, and SES.
- Understanding of building modular, extensible, and secure APIs.
- Exposure to test automation, contract testing, and performance testing.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience addressing accessibility issues is a plus.
