Base Salary
$238k - $302k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide deep technical leadership on large-scale ML model architectures for autonomous vehicles.
- Build scalable systems for training and fine-tuning large-scale models to evaluate driving behaviors.
- Work at the intersection of data engineering, model development, and simulation.
- Oversee the production and optimization of machine learning models for Waymo's fleet.
- Design and scale large distributed systems covering the ML lifecycle.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to derive performance and system-level requirements.
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in machine learning infrastructure.
- Experience with machine learning tooling and frameworks like PyTorch, Jax, or Tensorflow.
- Strong expertise in distributed training techniques and optimization strategies.
- Deep understanding of state-of-the-art machine learning models.
- Strong leadership skills and experience with cross-functional teams.
