Responsibilities
- Drive the definition and delivery of quarterly and long-term goals.
- Influence the design of large-scale data and backend systems.
- Collaborate with product, analytics, and design teams to define data-driven solutions.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of data pipelines and services.
- Mentor engineers through code/design reviews and technical leadership.
- Author technical proposals and share best practices with the broader data engineering community.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing and building large-scale data pipelines and distributed backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, Kotlin, or similar.
- Proven track record of delivering high-volume, highly available systems using AWS, MySQL, Airflow, Spark, and Kubernetes.
- Experience defining technical strategies for complex, cross-team initiatives.
- Skilled at building resilient systems with monitoring and safe deployment practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
