Responsibilities
- Design and operate the cloud data platform for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and data serving.
- Integrate business data from delivery tooling, CRM, product telemetry, finance, support, and customer feedback systems using shared identifiers, data contracts, and lineage.
- Build automated, continuously refreshed reporting and exception-based operational insights.
- Connect approved AI agents to governed data with structured outputs, provenance, guardrails, and human approval workflows.
- Build feature pipelines and MLOps controls for predictive use cases, including testing, versioning, promotion gates, and drift monitoring.
- Own data engineering standards for testing, observability, environment promotion, PII classification, access control, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and rollback.
- Collaborate directly with engineering, product, finance, and security stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including production-quality coding, API and interface design, testing, and systems design.
- Experience building and operating production data platforms on a cloud warehouse or lakehouse, preferably Snowflake and AWS, with dbt and a modern orchestrator.
- Practical experience shipping LLM-backed classification, extraction, structured-output, agent, tool-calling, retrieval, or evaluation workflows.
- Ability to assess model cost, latency, failure modes, and appropriate use cases.
- Sound judgment regarding data quality, observability, lineage, versioned contracts, auditability, and PII handling.
- Experience with CI/CD, DataOps, automated testing, release gates, infrastructure automation, and rollback.
- Preferred experience with feature stores, MLOps tooling, production model serving and monitoring, MCP Servers, BI platforms, semantic layers, and AI coding tools.
