
Senior Platform Engineer – AWS / Kubernetes

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain GitHub Actions and automation modules for application deployment.
- Design and develop backup and restore frameworks for applications, containers, and platform resources.
- Develop Kubernetes solutions and controllers to identify and remediate cluster issues.
- Manage Terraform-based infrastructure and implement GitOps workflows for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Support AWS EKS environments and integrate them with on-premises infrastructure.
- Build monitoring, reporting, observability, and centralized logging solutions across hybrid environments.
- Troubleshoot Linux, Kubernetes, AWS, container, and application deployment issues.
- Implement container orchestration, multi-cluster deployment, security, cost optimization, disaster recovery, and platform resiliency strategies.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to improve platform capabilities.
- Participate in technical design reviews and knowledge-transfer sessions, mentor junior engineers, and lead medium- to large-scale technical projects.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of relevant Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or related experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, AWS resource management, Amazon EKS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Experience integrating AWS EKS with on-premises infrastructure and implementing GitOps workflows.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, deployment automation, containers, and container orchestration.
- Strong scripting experience with Bash and/or PowerShell and troubleshooting experience in Linux environments.
- Understanding of cloud security and securing AWS accounts and infrastructure.
- Required AWS Certified Developer and AWS Certified Technician certifications.
- Preferred experience with Talos Linux, Fleet, Rancher, Argo CD, service mesh technologies, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, hybrid-cloud security, disaster recovery, cost optimization, data modeling, and technical project leadership.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, mentoring, organizational, and project leadership skills.
