Base Salary
$78k - $156k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain software applications for Cancer Diagnostics.
- Create independent software designs and influence technical approaches and project delivery.
- Investigate and fix application bugs and complex issues while working with minimal supervision.
- Make technical decisions, review design alternatives, and ensure application reliability and quality.
- Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
- Communicate project plans, designs, and status updates to stakeholders.
- Build partnerships with peers, subject-matter experts, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
- Follow design control processes, engineering best practices, and Quality Management System policies.
- Work nights and/or weekends as needed and maintain reliable attendance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Complete knowledge of software development design and development, including relevant domain-specific skills.
- Significant experience with object-oriented programming.
- Experience with Postgres, SQL Server, JPA2, Hibernate, Entity Framework, and cloud-based frameworks or services.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and STARLIMS custom code.
- Currently authorized to work in the country where the work is performed without employment visa sponsorship.
- Preferred: 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Preferred: Java, Spring Boot or Spring, Maven, Kafka or other queuing systems, and healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 and FHIR.
