Responsibilities
- Develop and customize BIOS/firmware to support customer board designs and use cases.
- Recommend optimized BIOS/firmware solutions for customer issues and new feature requirements.
- Replicate and diagnose customer-reported platform issues from a BIOS/firmware perspective.
- Support silicon, board, software bring-up, production, and sustaining phases.
- Drive resolution of customer technical issues while supporting field engineers and collaborating with internal departments.
- Perform hardware/software bring-up, debug, design reviews, and system diagnosis on customer platforms.
- Analyze competitive system performance and identify BIOS/firmware-related bottlenecks.
- Communicate issue status and updates with customers and document procedures and solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering; a master's degree is preferred.
- Programming and scripting skills in C, C++, Perl, Ruby, or Python, along with BIOS/firmware development experience.
- Extensive debugging knowledge and ideally experience with automotive infotainment systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of PC configurations, hardware/software troubleshooting, system architecture, technical debugging, and validation strategies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to multitask and organize work.
