Responsibilities

  • Design and develop tests that validate NPU hardware design and features during pre-silicon and post-silicon stages.
  • Diagnose and fix hardware issues using GDB and register-level debugging tools.
  • Participate in new APU ASIC bring-up and execution.
  • Develop SLT and ASIC qualification test suites.
  • Optimize diagnostics software for coverage, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Develop and deploy AI-based tools and workflows for test development, failure triage, debugging, and engineering productivity.
  • Build and debug automation tools to improve engineering productivity.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, driver, and validation teams from concept through production.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in low-level or embedded software development with direct hardware interaction.
  • Strong C++ programming skills; familiarity with C++11, C++14, C++17, or C++20 is a plus.
  • Understanding of computer architecture and operating systems.
  • Experience developing and debugging software in Linux.
  • Experience with debuggers such as GDB or WinDbg.
  • Familiarity with Git, SVN, or Perforce.
  • Strong debugging, testing, and communication skills.
  • Experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions for test generation, hardware failure and log triage, debugging assistance, or developer productivity tooling.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Python and modern AI/ML frameworks and tooling, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, LLM APIs, and agent frameworks.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, inference concepts, and NPU or AI accelerator architecture.
  • Familiarity with CPU, GPU, or APU architecture.
  • Experience with parallel programming and multithreaded programming.
  • Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
