Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs.
- Build Java and Spring Boot services integrated with enterprise platforms.
- Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
- Develop and optimize Oracle database solutions, including SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and integrations for reporting and analytics platforms.
- Integrate solutions with Power BI and other business intelligence platforms.
- Collaborate with product, analytics, and business teams to deliver actionable insights.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply cloud-native development and 12-factor application design principles.
- Deliver secure, reliable, scalable, maintainable software at enterprise scale.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Experience building event-driven applications with Apache Kafka.
- Strong Oracle database development skills, including SQL, PL/SQL, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Experience with PCF, Kubernetes, Docker, or equivalent cloud deployment platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Experience integrating data solutions with reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar AI-powered engineering tools.
- Understanding of software scalability, reliability, performance, and security best practices.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Preferred: exposure to data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence platforms.
- Preferred: experience in financial services, payments, commercial cards, banking, or fintech.
- Preferred: experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace.
- Preferred: knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
