Responsibilities
- Build the sandbox and scaffolding that enables rapid prototyping and discovery.
- Own fast, repeatable, and safe CI/CD and deployment infrastructure through production.
- Build automated test infrastructure, regression coverage, AI-generated test suites, and quality gates integrated into CI.
- Own testing and evaluation strategy and define the organization’s quality bar through infrastructure.
- Build automated evaluation suites and guardrails for AI systems whose outputs may vary between runs.
- Own orchestration, permissions, versioning, cost management, and monitoring for AI agents and automated workflows.
- Build AI tooling and enablement infrastructure for product builders.
- Provide observability and reliability signals for products and AI agents in production.
- Evaluate, adopt, and roll out new tools across the engineering team.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building and shipping production systems.
- Senior-level experience owning a system or platform end to end and making decisions in ambiguous or high-stakes situations.
- Production experience with agentic systems, LLM workflows, agent orchestration, or unsupervised automation.
- AI-native coding experience and regular use of AI agents in development.
- Background in platform engineering, infrastructure, developer experience, or ML/AI tooling.
- A track record of building tools and platforms adopted by other engineers.
- Experience building automated test and quality systems that generate, run, and maintain checks with minimal human intervention.
- Experience building evaluation or reliability tooling for AI/LLM systems, including eval suites and guardrails.
- Ability to learn quickly, adopt emerging tools, and ship under uncertainty.
