Base Salary
$230k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for the scalable, fault-tolerant Betting and Gaming platform.
- Lead architecture for critical cross-cutting systems that are scalable, resilient, secure, and reusable.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Platform leaders on priorities, sequencing, and technical trade-offs.
- Drive complex technical initiatives across teams, systems, and regulatory constraints from design through adoption.
- Establish engineering standards, design principles, and review practices that improve quality and operational readiness.
- Identify and resolve systemic technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and architectural contention.
- Mentor senior engineers and influence technical decisions with executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience with deep backend and distributed systems expertise.
- Proven ability to set technical direction and influence architecture across multiple teams or domains.
- Outstanding system design and architectural judgment in complex, high-scale environments.
- Deep experience building secure, reliable, and performant production systems.
- Track record leading large, cross-cutting technical initiatives from design through adoption.
- Strong judgment across scalability, operability, maintainability, and technical trade-offs.
- Experience building platforms, services, or frameworks that create leverage across an engineering organization.
- Excellent communication and ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders.
- Preferred experience in identity and account systems, payments and transactions, loyalty and promotions, platform engineering, or developer productivity.
- Preferred experience with mobile cross-platform technologies such as Kotlin Multiplatform.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments is preferred.
