Base Salary
$148k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Windows camera drivers and camera framework components.
- Lead camera sensor bring-up, validation, and hardware integration activities.
- Debug system, driver, firmware, and hardware issues across the camera stack.
- Collaborate with camera hardware, silicon, ISP, and system software teams.
- Work with Microsoft and OEM customers to resolve product issues.
- Drive camera feature enablement, performance optimization, power management, and system reliability.
- Support WHCP certification, commercialization activities, and product launches.
- Review software designs, conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical leadership.
- Influence camera architecture decisions across multiple product generations.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ software development.
- At least 5 years of Windows device-driver development experience is required in the technical qualifications.
- Extensive Windows kernel-mode and user-mode development experience, including WDF, KMDF, and UMDF.
- Experience with AVStream, Media Foundation, Device MFT, Camera Frame Server, and the Windows Camera Pipeline.
- Experience using WinDbg, WPA/WPR, Visual Studio, and ETW tracing.
- Experience with MIPI CSI-2, CCI/I2C, SPI, GPIO, and interrupt handling.
- Experience with camera sensor bring-up, validation, and debugging.
- Understanding of ACPI and UEFI firmware interactions with Windows devices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field plus 4+ years of related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 3+ years or a PhD plus 2+ years.
- Preferred qualifications include Qualcomm Snapdragon camera-driver experience, ISP architecture and imaging-pipeline knowledge, camera tuning concepts such as AE, AF, AWB, HDR, and low-light imaging, and familiarity with Windows Hello, WHCP, and Windows hardware requirements.
- Experience with Microsoft, camera sensor vendors, or OEM customers; AI/ML-based camera features; and source control systems such as Git and Perforce is preferred.
