Responsibilities
- Write and reliably deliver Java code with automated unit and integration tests.
- Optimize code performance and identify bottlenecks in distributed systems.
- Develop new features and improvements for NoSQL data pipeline services while minimizing technical debt.
- Break project work into tasks with estimates and participate in code reviews.
- Work across requirements, design, prototyping, implementation, review, release, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot problematic code, identify root causes, and resolve customer issues with customer support.
- Use AI coding agents for incident resolution, feature development, testing, and investigations.
Requirements
- Expertise in Java development.
- Experience developing reliable software for high-volume data management under strict SLAs.
- Experience with popular cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience using AI coding agents for development.
- Knowledge of popular NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Amazon DynamoDB.
- Knowledge of and appreciation for clean code practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot problematic code and identify root causes.
- Preferred experience with MongoDB or Amazon DynamoDB change data capture, ETL or ELT data integration tools, and performance optimization in distributed systems.
