Responsibilities
- Design and build production-grade AI agents and autonomous marketing workflows.
- Implement multi-step agentic flows involving LLM orchestration, tool use, and platform-service integrations.
- Work with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, response handling, and evaluation.
- Design agent evaluation frameworks, quality metrics, and production measurement systems.
- Monitor and optimize agent latency, cost, token usage, error rates, reliability, and performance.
- Write production-quality Python for agent services and backend orchestration.
- Contribute to PHP backend and React or Ember frontend integration points.
- Build and maintain APIs, data flows, and service interfaces.
- Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and engineering standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations for agent-service incidents.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and domain engineering teams on agent capabilities and user experiences.
- Document agent architectures, patterns, and best practices.
- Pair and conduct code reviews across teams.
- Maintain regular working-hour overlap with US-based teams in the Chicago timezone.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in a software engineering role.
- Hands-on production experience building and running AI agents or agentic workflows.
- Experience evaluating agent quality and optimizing performance.
- Solid Python backend development skills; PHP familiarity is a plus.
- Understanding of reliable, testable, and observable systems.
- Experience using AI coding assistants and agentic development tools.
- Familiarity with MySQL, DynamoDB, and Redis.
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks or multi-agent orchestration patterns.
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol or LLM tool-use patterns.
- Experience building evaluation pipelines or quality measurement systems for LLM-based features.
- Frontend experience with React or Ember.
- Familiarity with AWS and observability tooling.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, evaluation methodologies, or LLM fine-tuning.
- Experience in SaaS, marketing automation, or CRM is beneficial.
- Fluent English at B2 level or higher.
- Ability to work flexible hours with regular afternoon availability for US Central timezone overlap.
