Responsibilities
- Drive the weekly release cycle from branch cut to full production rollout.
- Manage phased deployment across various tracks using Terraform and internal tools.
- Deploy configuration changes and resolve Terraform drift across global clusters.
- Triage issues and facilitate the weekly Production Ops meeting.
- Maintain CI health by keeping the master branch green across all repositories.
- Coordinate between engineers during production incidents and deploy hotfixes.
- Improve runbooks and processes to reduce toil for future engineers.
Requirements
- Experience in managing production deployments for distributed or cloud-hosted services.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform in AWS, GCP, or other cloud providers.
- Familiarity with build systems like Bazel, Gradle, Maven, or CMake.
- Experience in maintaining CI systems and managing flaky tests.
- Proficiency in Linux and shell for log analysis and debugging.
- Strong written communication skills for updates and documentation.
- Comfortable taking ownership of outcomes and escalating issues when necessary.
