Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, hire, and manage a team of six Solutions Engineers.
- Define team ways of working and set OKRs aligned with Mollie Connect’s strategic priorities.
- Lead upmarket pre-sales and upsell engagements as a trusted technical advisor.
- Design solutions for complex platform partners and refine the team’s consultative selling approach.
- Guide complex integrations from design through technical validation and go-live.
- Support multi-entity setups involving compliance, regulatory, and architectural challenges.
- Represent platform partner needs in product discussions and influence the Mollie Connect roadmap.
- Collaborate with Partner Management, Engineering Managers, Partner Marketing, Product Marketing, and HR.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, Sales Engineering, or a comparable software/SaaS role.
- At least 2 years of experience leading a team in a formal lead or senior player-coach capacity.
- Strong technical acumen with APIs, integration architectures, and technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, and modern integration patterns.
- Proven consultative technical pre-sales experience, including needs discovery and solution design.
- Experience working with SaaS platforms, marketplaces, or enterprise organizations with complex stakeholder environments.
- Fluent English.
- Preferred: payments, fintech, or financial services experience.
- Preferred: understanding of PSD2, KYC/KYB, marketplace fund flows, and cross-border payment compliance.
- Preferred: proficiency in one or more coding languages for prototyping, troubleshooting, or reviewing integration code.
